New York Life
I was hired by Sapient in 2011 to oversee the content strategy aspects of the redesign of the New York Life website.
New York Life needed a redesign from the ground up. They wanted to explain insurance products better, present life insurance as a natural investment choice at certain important milestones in life, and make it easier to understand how consumers could buy insurance.
I helped New York Life develop a taxonomy that fit these goals and wrote clear, straightforward web copy to support them.
New York Life's employees also needed to understand how to implement the new design for a content management system. I wrote permanent page copy (such as instructional text) and established a flexible, modular content structure for the dynamic portion of the site. I then wrote example copy for these content modules in order to establish a clear, consistent tone for all content across the site.
New York Life employees were able to execute against this system using the documentation I provided.
